Trains on the Farm in Clarksville, Iowa brings you the history of the railroad in the Cedar Valley, including the Iowa Northern, Rock Island and Chicago Great Western railroads, through our guided tours. Our tour guide, Francis Edeker, retired from the Iowa Northern Railroad after 23 years as a Track Inspector and Safety Instructor, will present the history through a detailed tour that includes viewing and studying trains, structures and equipment at places you would not be able to access without a planned and guided tour. Additionally, he will share anecdotal history of the Cedar Valley Railroads and events along the way.

On the Edeker farm, as part of a full tour or our On the Farm Only package, you will visit our depot and the Railroad Artifacts Museum, which includes several model train setups, full size railroad artifacts and pictures from a railroad disaster in the Cedar Valley.
